This Earth Day weekend, immerse yourself in nature and become part of a rare adventure at the Brenda Carter Nature Reserve in Ottawa. For one weekend only, this hidden gem, typically reserved for conservation work and rarely open to the public, welcomes you!
We’re on a mission to tackle the invasive Buckthorn, a species that's been a little too successful in making itself at home across our diverse landscapes. Originally hailing from Eurasia, Buckthorn's adaptability has turned it into a formidable foe for our local flora and fauna.

Aside from the unique opportunity to explore a usually private conservation area, this is your chance to directly contribute to the restoration of a vital ecosystem. We Provide Everything You Need:
• Brand New Pullerbear Tree and Brush Pullers: Experience the satisfaction of clearing invasive species with top-of-the-line equipment.
• Clippers & Shovels: For the stubborn Buckthorn that demands a bit more finesse, we’ve got the tools for the job.
• Guidance & Support: Our dedicated conservation biologist will be on hand to guide you through the day, sharing insights into why your efforts are so crucial.
